Indigenous-inspired Artwork

Whole School

Primary students are working together to create an Indigenous-inspired artwork. The concept incorporates a student’s journey through the school, along with the story of our local area. The blue circles represent each year the school has been open. The footprints represent a student’s journey from Pre-Kindy to when they finish Year 12. The red, yellow and black feathers represent the first Indigenous Elder Yagan who ruled over the local Whadjuk Noongar people. The swan not only represents our school, but is also designed with open wings to represent the teachers giving our students their wings to fly. The grapes and vines represent the Swan Valley. Larger circles painted in our school colours represent our school meeting place. We can’t wait to see the final result!
