Swan Valley Anglican Community School is owned by the Anglican Schools Commission (Inc).

The Anglican Schools Commission (Inc.) (ASC) is a separately incorporated entity governed by a Board. Established in 1985, the ASC was founded to establish and support low fee paying Anglican systemic schools which provide a high quality, inclusive, caring Christian education.

Today there are approximately 13,500 students attending ASC schools. There are eleven schools in Western Australia, and three in the Diocese of Wangaratta, in north-east Victoria and the Albury border area of New South Wales.

Their vision is to fulfil the Gospel imperative to teach the faith and nurture the young by strengthening and growing these schools as centres of excellence in teaching and learning, pastoral care, worship and service.

These young people, aged from four to 18 years, are taught and cared for by approximately 1500 teaching and non-teaching staff. The focus of ASC schools is to teach their students to live by Gospel values, pursue high standards in all things, demonstrate fairness and compassion, respect themselves and our world, act with honesty and promote and celebrate diversity.

Further details about the work of the ASC may be obtained from their website: The Anglican Schools Commission.

ASC 30 Year Anniversary

ASC 30th Anniversary Video link2015 is the year the Anglican School’s Commission (ASC) celebrates its 30th Anniversary. In acknowledgement of this achievement the Commission held a Eucharist at St Georges Cathedral in Perth, followed by a formal dinner at the Duxton Hotel on Friday, May 8. In addition to our Executive staff and members of the School Council, Swan Valley Anglican Community School was represented by our School Captains, Natalie Dausi and Chris Botha. Both were involved in the procession at the Eucharist and Natalie performed a liturgical drama, along with representatives from the other 13 ASC schools from Western Australia, New South Wales and Victoria.

Throughout the dinner, students from our Music program entertained the audience. One of the highlights of the evening was the video produced by the Anglican Schools Commission. We invite you to view the video which illustrates the Mission and Values of the ASC schools in 2015. Reverend Thom Bull features significantly along with student representatives from our Junior and Senior School.
