On Thursday 24 October, the sun was shining and enthusiasm was rife, the day had finally arrived for the Early Childhood Athletics Carnival! In the morning, children from Pre-Primary to Year 2 participated in a tabloid of different activities that promoted the use of their fundamental movement skills; including an obstacle course, tailball throw, relay races, sack races and soccer kicking. The carnival then concluded with fast and furious track races.
It was a fantastic day filled with fun, friendship and frivolity. A big thank you goes to Year 6 and Year 9 students who assisted at the carnival in so many ways for without whom, this day could not have happened. Thank you also to the parents who came along to support their little athletes, and Kombi-Nation for not only fuelling everyone with their delicious coffee, but for donating all proceeds to the P&FA to help support our school.
