Year 6 Prayers

Having a conversation with God…Why?

In Religious Education Mrs Cymer asked us "Who would like to share their prayers they wrote in Term 2 during Chapel Term 3?" Saskia and I, along with many other students volunteered across all three Year 6 classes. Why did we volunteer? Because we believe it is important to be part of a community and share our experiences of Faith. We have learnt and reaffirmed that if we do not pray to our Lord in Heaven, we will not have a true connection with our Lord. We realise we can have conversations with God to assist us and this is possible through prayer. We have also learnt that God is the one and only King and about the importance of Jesus dying on the cross for us related to the Kingdom of God. Here are quotes from our prayers we shared with Junior School in Chapel:

"All of us are like paintings, without God we have no colour. Your love gives us our colour. So please, through our Faith let us have colour." By Saskia H (Year 6)

"I hope not to go on the easy road of life that leads me not to your Kingdom. I want to do the hard work that leads me on the road to your Kingdom." By Bethany D (Year 6)
