Year 5 Camp at Swan Valley Adventure Centre
In early April, the Year 5 students headed off for a two-day camp at Swan Valley Adventure Centre. We were blessed with some good weather and lots of very well behaved students.
They participated in a range of team building activities and learned a lot about giving things a go. Their manners, behaviour and enthusiasm were commented on by the camp staff.
I would like to thank the Year 5 teachers, Miss McAllister, Ms Korten, Mrs Humphrey, Mrs Myles and Mrs Elezovich for their commitment to the camp and care of the students.
Student quotes:
Lateesha Coppin – “I enjoyed the flying fox because I could do tricks.”
Amneet Kaur – “My favourite thing was the commando course because I want to be a commando when I grow up.”
Rosie P – “My favourite part was the high ropes course because it was scary and long to complete.”
Tyson S – “I enjoyed the big zip line because it was really exciting.”
Rhys K – “I liked the zip line because when we jumped off the building it was fun.”
Mackenzie D – “I enjoyed the dorms because we got to explore the rooms and houses and spend time together.”
Sophie B – “We were allowed to spend time with our friends.”
