Rebound WA Wheelchair Basketball

Whole School

Clint Morgan, from Rebound WA, spoke to the Junior Years about his experiences as a paraplegic. Students were amazed at the number of sports and other activities that people with disabilities can access, and were very surprised to learn that Clint even goes abseiling and plays football. After the presentation, Year 6 students learned how to play basketball using special wheelchairs with angled wheels that allow players to move more quickly. Clint also taught students how to go forward and backwards in a straight line, and how to turn on the spot. The highlight was undoubtedly the opportunity to play a match with the teachers at the end!
