R U OK? Day
R U OK? Day is an important and timely reminder to check in on the mental wellbeing of ourselves and those around us. With the important message that we are all ‘Here to Hear’, this important day was used to grow connections across the School. Staff and students wore yellow to recognise the day. As part of our Buddy Program, Primary students met with their Secondary buddies for the whole school Lap-a-thon.
To celebrate R U OK? Day, students enjoyed a variety of activities throughout the week to recognise the importance of empathy, connection, and community. During recess and lunch, there were games and music for the Early Years students, a handball competition in Junior Years and Hacky Sack competition in Secondary. Other fun activities included music, board games, cupcake decorating, a scrunchie making workshop and watching funny videos in the Performing Arts Centre Theatre.
