We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Teacher of Technologies (Wood/Metal) to join our Secondary School team. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to deliver high-quality, practical, and future-focused Technologies curriculum. The ability to teach Certificate II in Engineering Pathways and Certificate II in Furniture Making Pathways is highly regarded, supported by a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and relevant industry qualifications (or equivalent).

Reporting to the Head of Technologies, you will create inclusive and supportive learning environments that promote logical reasoning, problem-solving, and academic excellence. As part of a collaborative and collegial Technologies Department, you will be passionate about engaging students through hands-on learning experiences and supporting them to achieve personal excellence.

About You

You are a compassionate and organised educator who brings:

  • A Bachelor of Education (or equivalent) and current TRBWA registration
  • Demonstrated experience teaching Wood/Metal across Years 7 to 10
  • Strong knowledge of the Western Australian curriculum
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
  • Understanding of assessment strategies and data-informed instruction
  • Collaborative approach to curriculum planning and professional development
  • Willingness to support the Mission, Vision and Ethos and Core Values of Swan Valley Anglican Community School
