Long Service Leave Cover Term 1 2027

We are seeking an inspiring and energetic Teacher of Drama/Music to join our vibrant Secondary School community for a fixed-term long service leave cover position during Term 1, 2027.

This exciting opportunity is suited to a passionate educator who can deliver engaging and high-quality Drama and Music programs across Years 7 to 12. You will inspire creativity, confidence, collaboration and self-expression, fostering a love of the performing arts in a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Reporting to the Head of The Arts, you will work collaboratively with colleagues to develop innovative and student-centred learning experiences that challenge and engage students of varying abilities. You will be committed to nurturing student wellbeing and achievement while contributing positively to the wider life of the School.

About You

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

  • Experience teaching Drama and/or Music across Years 7 to 12.
  • The ability to deliver engaging practical and theoretical learning experiences in Drama and Music.
  • A passion for fostering creativity, performance and artistic expression.
  • Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills.
  • A commitment to inclusive teaching practices and student wellbeing.
  • The ability to collaborate effectively within a dynamic Arts Department.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to support the Mission, Vision and Ethos and Core Values of Swan Valley Anglican Community School
